Maa Vindhyavasini University is a newly established State University by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, envisioned to transform the landscape of higher education in the Vindhya region. Named after the revered goddess Maa Vindhyavasini, the university embodies the values of strength, knowledge, and service. It is located in Deori Kala village, Madihan Tehsil, in the spiritually and culturally rich district of Mirzapur, near the sacred pilgrimage site of Vindhyachal.

Establishment & Objective
The university was founded with the purpose of providing quality education to students in rural and underdeveloped areas of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, thus minimizing the need for migration to metropolitan cities. With an initial sanctioned fund of ₹154.15 crore, the university is being developed over 35 hectares of land, with modern infrastructure, inclusive academic planning, and student-centric facilities.
