  • Prof. Shobha Gaur, currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Maa Vindhyavasini University, Mirzapur, has devoted her life to the field of education with unwavering commitment and scholarly depth.
  • Born on January 4, 1962, in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, she was raised in an environment where learning and values were deeply respected. Her academic journey began with a strong foundation in Education and Psychology. She completed her Ph.D. in Education under Supervision of Prof.N.K. Lal (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur )
  • Her teaching career began in 1996 as a Lecturer at Digvijay Nath P.G. College, Gorakhpur. Through dedication and consistent academic work, she progressed to the position of Professor in the Department of Education at D.D.U. Gorakhpur University, where she also served as Head and Dean from July 2021 to January 2024.
  • Prof. Gaur has accumulated over 27 years of teaching experience and 20 years in research. She has taught various papers including Educational Psychology, Educational Technology, History of Education, Women Education, and Research Methodology.
  • She has been an active member of several professional and academic associations, including the All India Association for Educational Research, the Association for Educational Development, and the Council of Behavioural Science Research, among others.
  • Her role in university administration has been extensive. She has been part of the Executive Councils of institutions like Mahayogi Gorakhnath University, Gorakhpur and Dr. R.M.L. Awadh University, Ayodhya, and has served in various key academic and administrative committees.
  • Prof. Gaur has shown a deep interest in all-round development of students. She actively contributed to sports and cultural activities.
  • Now, as the Vice Chancellor of Maa Vindhyavasini University, she continues to guide the academic growth of the institution, drawing upon her vast experience, clarity of vision, and commitment to educational values.
